Kutana Nichol has been the wife of her loving and supportive husband, Carver Parrish, for over 22 years. 

Kutana Nichol has an Associate in Arts, Bachelor's in Elementary Education (1st-6th), Masters in Teacher Education, and Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy. She is certified in School Counseling (K-12th grades) and Elementary Education (K-6th grades). Kutana Nichol is working towards a Doctorate in Community Care and Counselor, focusing on Traumatology.

Throughout her life, Kutana Nichol faced the pain she endured as a victim of childhood sexual abuse inside and outside her home.  After getting married at 27 years old, continuous intrusive thoughts (unwanted visual memories that make you feel like it is happening again) would pop up in her head, especially during intimacy. The trauma impacted other areas in her life. These traumatic events could have hindered her from becoming the person she is today. For years, she also struggled with comprehending information needed to pass tests, speaking eloquently "enough," and speaking in front of adults. These difficulties caused her to feel inadequate, not "smart enough," and lowered her confidence. Kutana Nichol developed and grew through her struggles and successes. Facing these extremely uncomfortable situations for many years and being resilient gave her the boldness God placed inside her from birth, never to stop trying and working toward what God placed WITHIN in her inmost being. Dealing with her own traumatic experiences, Kutana Nichol has learned to live in love, forgiveness, peace, and joy. She desires to help you live in wholeness with confidence, living with love, forgiveness, peace, and joy. YOU GOT THIS!!!

"For you (God) created my inmost being, you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well". Psalm 139: 13,14

She is currently serving in her 7th year as a School Counselor but is also a former School Teacher for 17 years. She has served as a Youth Pastor for 16 years, and spent some time serving as a Christian Education Director. At her current church, she is a co-facilitator of one of the women's small groups (WOW), part of the Added Members Team, and serves alongside her hubby on her church's Marriage Ministry Core Team.  Besides helping in church ministry, she enjoys self-care activities like gardening, reading, relaxing in bubble baths with candles, and listening to sounds of water and inspirational speakers. She loves spending quality time with her husband, enjoying long and short car rides looking at houses, landscapes, farmlands, trips to the beach, waterfalls, and lakes, the scenery of mountains, vacationing to explore new places and people, spending time with family, and sometimes doing NOTHING but enjoying being home.
